About this project

The "Cultural Circuit in the Midwest - From Child to Child" project is a transformative initiative promoted by the "From Child to Child" program. In this action, children from various cities in the Midwest region of Brazil were invited to take part in an innovative educational process, in which their stories and drawings were converted into engaging animations, with narratives told by themselves. The main aim of this project was to foster the construction of knowledge and the development of socio-emotional skills, providing a unique learning and expression experience for the young participants. The fundamental purpose of the project focuses on the socio-emotional development of the children. By turning their ideas into animations, they not only become the protagonists of their own narratives, but also develop creative, communication and collaboration skills. In addition, the project aims to strengthen ties between children and their communities by addressing relevant issues related to sustainable development. The methodological approach adopted in "Circuito Cultural no Centro-Oeste - De Criança para Criança" was based on active participation and a constructivist approach, providing an authentic and engaging educational experience for the children involved. The constructivist perspective is based on the idea that knowledge is actively constructed by the learner and not simply passively transmitted. In this context, the students were invited to explore, question and reflect on topics related to sustainability. This enabled them to develop a deeper and more meaningful understanding of the importance of preserving the environment. In the final stage of this project, the students were invited to watch the cartoons they had helped to produce, in a session with popcorn and lots of excitement. After watching, the students were asked to vote for the video they liked best. The winner was awarded a super legacy prize for the school and city.
